Karthi Film Release Faces Legal Hurdles

Vaa Vaathiyaar and Annagaru Vostaru starring Karthi release postponed.

Karthi’s Annagaru Vostaru (Vaa Vaathiyaar in Tamil), which was scheduled for release next weekend, 12th December, has received an interim order from the Madras High Court to stop its release until pending dues are settled.

In a case filed by Arjunlal Sundardas against Gnanavel Raja, the court ordered that the film, Vaa Vaathiyaar should not be released without repaying the loan amount of ₹21.78 crore.

Directed by Nalan, the film already faced a long delay, and when it was finally set to be dropped, Karthi’s Annagaru Vostaru faced a big legal hurdle.

Krithi Shetty plays the female lead role in the film, which also stars Shilpa Manjunath, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, and Sathyaraj in key parts. Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal round out the cast.
