The movie received positive WOM and is doing well at box office. 777 Charlie written and directed by Kiranraj K, is about a dog entering into the life of the hero, who had vast past and leading a lonely life. The journey with that dog gives him a new perspective towards it. Karnataka CM’s pictures went viral in which he cried after watching the film.
CM Bommai turned emotional after watching the movie and said, it reminded him of his late dog Sunny. Videos and pictures of Bommai bidding farewell to his dog Sunny when it died went viral last year. CM after watching 777 Charlie expressed his compassion for stray dogs. The CM said he would discuss with the experts to come out with an initiative to take care of them. Now CM Bomai helped 777 Charlie to get tax exemption in Karnataka.
Rakshit Shetty filed a petition to Bommai seeking a 100% tax wavier. Also In the petition he mentioned that the movie creates awareness on the “ill effects of in-breeding among dogs, highlights the nuances of violence against animals, and champions the cause for adoption of stray dogs”. So Now as per the Karnataka government order, the movie will be exempt from State Goods and Service Tax for six months.
