The much-hyped Kantara Chapter 1’s trailer was released earlier today, which opened to a positive response, and the latest news is that the film’s censor report is also out on social media.
This raw and rustic action drama has obtained a UA certificate from the censor board, and the runtime is 168 minutes and 53 seconds. So, Kantara Chapter 1 has a runtime of almost three hours, according to the censor report.
Kantara Chapter 1 Plot:
During the reign of the Kadambas, the first dynasty of Karnataka, Bangra, a fictional feudatory, was ruled by King Vijayendra. Loyal to the Kadambas, he commanded their sea trade. Known for his valor, Vijayendra was a feared leader who upheld slavery and atheism. A hero emerges to challenge the king’s atrocities, standing against his tyranny and winning the love of the princess.
Kantara: Chapter 1 releases on October 2, 2025, in multiple Indian languages and will also be available in IMAX, 4DX, and D-Box formats. The film stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari, and Gulshan Devaiah. It is produced by Hombale Films, with music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
