This week there are two movies ready to entertain the audience. Both are very different from each other content and impact wise. Those two movies are Siva Karthikeyan’s Prince and Rishabh Shetty’s Pan India blockbuster Kantara.
There’s no need to specially introduce the magical film Kantara, this film has surprised everyone with its outstanding performance at the box office worldwide. The film was released as small Kannada film and because of the tremendous response it was dubbed into other languages.
In Telugu, it collected gross of 60 Crores and in Hindi, it crossed 80 CR net. In its homeland, Kantara Crossed KGF2 and became industry hit. At first, it was slated for the OTT release on Nov. 5, but due to the exceptional performance at the theaters, the makers postponed it. Kantara will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from November 24th.
Prince, the Siva Karthikeyan starrer film which recently released in theaters, is set to stream on Disney+ Hot star from November 25, the streaming platform announced on social media recently.
Starring Siva Karthikeyan in the lead role, under Anudeep KV’S directorial, Prince had a simultaneous release in both Tamil and Telugu. The film marks the debut for the filmmaker in Tamil film industry, who has previously helmed Jathi Ratnalu in Telugu. Prince opened to mixed reviews from critics.
It went on to become the biggest disaster in the career of Siva Karthikeyan. Though it was released for Diwali, it didn’t get the required push at the box office. Tamil audience were not satisfied with Prince, they felt at this time of career Siva Karthikeyan shouldn’t have done a non-serious movie.
While Telugu audience felt that the comedy did not have the right kind of impact because of the Tamil artists and orientation. They opined that Prince could have been better if it was made with Telugu Hero and artists.
