Suriya’s Kanguva is aiming to create a storm at the box office later this year. This pan-India fantasy action film is slated to release on 10th October and has managed to create massive buzz among the audience. The recently released ‘Fire Song’ and the teaser have increased audience expectations to a great level.
The reports of Karthi being a part of the project have already added to the hype and now there has been a confirmation of the same. The team officially announced that Karthi will appear in the climax of Kanguva and will be a lead in the sequel. Bobby Deol plays the main villain role in Kanguva and in part 2 Karthi is slated to be playing the villain role.
According to the reports, Karthi will be playing a negative role in Kanguva as Bobby Deol’s second wife’s son. Directed by Siva, Kanguav is expected to be a comeback for Suriya whose last few films haven’t been huge box office hits.
There is positive buzz for Kanguva in the northern market as well and the Hindi rights have been sold for a big very big price. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this fantasy action film and the audio and satellite rights have fetched big amounts. The total business of the film is likely to go in the range of 350 Cr. This includes both theatrical and non-theatricals.
Directed by Siva, the film also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patni in their Kollywood debut. Kanguva also starsJagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and Yogi Babu in key roles. The big-budget fantasy project has been backed by Studio Green and UV Creations.
