Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is currently campaigning for the BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. On the other hand, her biographical film ‘Emergency’ underwent a delay in release date yet again. This is reportedly because of the actor’s tight schedule in politics, leaving insufficient time for film promotions.
Besides starring in the lead role as ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Kangana is also directing and co-producing this biographical drama film. Initially slated for a worldwide release on June 14, 2024, the project has been postponed as it was before.
With music composed by Tamil cinema’s G. V. Prakash Kumar, ‘Emergency’ also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Mahima Chaudhry. Now that this film has been officially delayed, a new release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
