Kollywood legend Kamal Haasan has decided to step down as the host of the popular Tamil reality show Bigg Boss. The veteran actor has hosted every single of the seven seasons of Tamil Bigg Boss so far. This is a from the actor Bigg Boss hosts across languages are also receiving unnecessary hate from netizens. The actor is currently busy with cinema and Politics.
Taking to social media, the ‘Universal Hero’ announced his decision. “Dear Viewers, With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I’m unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil,” he wrote.
Indian 2 disappointment
After a blockbuster comeback with Vikram, Kamal Haasan started taking great care of his script selection. He expected to score another massive hit with Indian 2 but it ended up disappointing him as well as the fans massively. Deciding to release the film in two parts itself was a blunder. It’s a possibility that Kamal realized it sooner and this is the reason he continuously said he liked Indian 3 more than Indian 2. Indian 2 arriving on Netflix this Friday, OTT response is very crucial.
Thug Life Sankranti release
Meanwhile, as expected earlier, his next release is not Indian 3, which is now moved to 2025 summer.
Initially, Indian 2 and Indian 3 were planned as back 2 back releases in a very quick time. But now the result of Indian 2 has forced the makers to delay Indian 3. In this gap, Kamal Haasan will be releasing another film- Maniratnam’s ‘Thuglife’.
Mani Ratnam’s Thuglife is planned for Sankranti release where Kamal will be seen next. The veteran star has meanwhile signed an action film directed by Anbarivu.
