Kollywood Actor Kamal Haasan and Director Mani Ratnam collaborated for their Thug Life. The collaboration happened after 3 decades to the delight of fans and audiences. The team conducted a press meet to release the first single of the film, Jinguchaa. In the event, Kamal Haasan revealed a surprising news that shocked people now.

The Actor said that Mani Ratnam’s Magnum Opus, Ponniyin Selvan was initially supposed to be produced under his home banner, Raaj Kamal Films International. The film series was a mega-profitable venture and the only hit film for Lyca Productions. Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 collected around 500 crores gross and became the Industry hit in Kollywood. The second part also grossed around 350 crores and remained as a profitable venture.

Kamal Haasan has surely missed this golden opportunity. He also said that audiences wanted to see him and Mani Ratnam’s combo since their Nayagan. The Actor added that the duo had also discussed a few ideas and revealed that he provided Thug Life’s core plot which Mani Ratnam further developed. He also expressed confidence in scoring a blockbuster with Thug Life. The film is currently scheduled for release on 5th June worldwide.
