The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited 534 new members for Oscar voting, including famous Indian actor Kamal Haasan, who thanked them for the honor. He recognized that the award represents the whole Indian film community and highlighted Indian cinema’s global potential.
Tamil Nadu’s Deputy Chief Minister, MK Stalin, praised Haasan for this honor, noting his influence beyond languages and borders. Haasan got many congratulatory messages from artists and fans.

The updated list included a bunch of Indian talents like Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana, casting director Karan Mally, cinematographer Ranabir Das, costume designer Maxima Basu, documentary maker Smriti Mundhra, and filmmaker Payal Kapadia.
