Tamil cinema fans were taken by surprise when Sundar C announced his exit from Thalaivar 173, a highly anticipated film starring Superstar Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal Haasan. Now, Kamal has responded to the news, confirming that Sundar C will no longer be part of the project.
Speaking about the development, Kamal said, “Sundar C has already released his statement, so there’s no possibility of collaboration. As a producer, I must ensure the film satisfies my star, Superstar Rajinikanth. We’ll continue listening to scripts until we find one that works. Also, we’re currently searching for a new story for the other film, where both of us will act together.”
With Kamal’s statement, it’s clear that the team is moving forward without Sundar C, and fans are now eagerly waiting for the announcement of a new director.
Meanwhile, there is speculation that the Rajinikanth–Kamal Haasan multi-starrer might be directed by Nelson, but this has not been officially confirmed.
