Kalyani Priyadarshan, who played the lead role in the Malayalam film industry’s highest grosser, Lokah, has officially been confirmed as the female lead in an upcoming zombie film from Bollywood, Pralay, starring Ranveer Singh as the lead. Directed by Jai Mehta, the film is described as a high-octane, genre-blending entertainer that combines survival horror with large-scale action.
Pralay is scheduled to begin shooting in April 2026 and marks an important milestone for both the lead actors. While the film introduces Kalyani Priyadarshan to Bollywood with her long-awaited Hindi debut, it also marks Ranveer Singh’s first project as a producer.
It is widely known that Ranveer has starred in the latest and sensational blockbuster, Dhurandhar (Part 2 is set to arrive in 2026), and a zombie film would be a perfect follow-up after such massive success that would create excitement among fans.
