Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD’s 3rd day witnessed a strong jump over day 2. Despite the World Cup final, the sci-fi biggie witnessed a good jump from day 2. On day 2 the film collected 90 Cr gross worldwide, On day 3 the film witnessed a 20% jump over this.
Overall, after 3 days, the film has collected around Rs 370 Cr gross worldwide. On day 3, the film created a record on Book My Show by selling 12.8L tickets which is a record for a single day till in Book My Show. In the Telugu states, the Day 3 figures are on par with Day 2 but in all other territories, day 3 is higher than Day 2.
Kalki 2898 AD is set in a dystopian future and is a convergence of Hindu mythology and science fiction. Nag Ashwin’s big-budget film is produced by Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies and was released on Thursday in six languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
