So far, the producer has neither appealed to the Supreme Court nor approached the High Court to amend the prayer or withdraw the writ petition. The CBFC’s decision to maintain strict confidentiality explains why the producer and others associated with the film have remained silent. If the revising committee gives a favourable recommendation, the producer may then choose to withdraw the writ petition and proceed with the release.
