Superstar Rajinikanth recently revealed that the shoot of Jailer 2 is currently happening in Kerala. The film is having great hype because the first part was a blockbuster at the box office.
In a recent interaction with the press, Rajini said that the movie will release after June 2026. So, it’s likely to be in July/August, and if we remember, the first part was released on Independence Day weekend in 2023 and created a sensation.

Even the last film of Superstar, Coolie, was also released on the same Independence Day weekend, and we need to wait and see if Rajinikanth releases Jailer 2 on the same date as well.
Directed by Nelson, the sequel of Jailer carries very big expectations, and there was a buzz that Balakrishna will be part of this film and will appear in a crucial cameo. But this is yet to be officially confirmed.
There is a schedule planned in Hyderabad for this year’s end, and Balakrishna might join this schedule if he is doing a cameo, which will officially confirm the news.
