Leo Beaten by Over ₹115 Cr
Vijay’s Leo held the previous first-week record with around ₹465 Cr+. Jailer 2 has beaten it by more than ₹115 Cr. That’s not just breaking a record, that’s moving the bar to a completely new level.
Tamil Nadu: ₹139 Cr in 7 Days
Tamil Nadu led the way with ₹139 Cr. The Dasara holidays helped keep theatres full all week, and the state delivered a record-level first week.
Telugu States Cross ₹70 Cr
The Telugu states collected ₹73 Cr, a huge number for a Tamil film. It shows how strongly Jailer 2 has connected with Telugu audiences, and it’s set to bring good profits for the distributors there.
Karnataka and Kerala Above ₹60 Cr
Karnataka (₹61 Cr) and Kerala (₹60.5 Cr) both crossed the ₹60 Cr mark in a single week. In Kerala, the film has already become the biggest Tamil grosser of all time, beating Leo.
Rest of India: ₹36 Cr
The rest of India, including the Hindi version, added ₹36 Cr. That’s a strong result considering the film skipped the national multiplex chains in the Hindi belt.
Overseas: ₹211 Cr
Overseas contributed ₹211 Cr in just one week. The film has already set an all-time Kollywood record in the Middle East, crossing $7 million.
Next Stop: 2.0’s Record
With ₹580.5 Cr in seven days, Jailer 2 is now just over ₹100 Cr away from Rajinikanth’s own 2.0, the highest-grossing Tamil film at close to ₹700 Cr. That record is set to fall in the second week, making Jailer 2 Kollywood’s new industry hit.
