Jailer 2 First Week Box Office: ₹570 Cr, All-Time Kollywood Record by a ₹100 Cr Margin

Sensational: Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 collects over 570 Cr gross in first week and creates an all-time record for Kollywood.

Jailer 2 has smashed the biggest first-week record in Tamil cinema history, and not by a small margin. Rajinikanth’s film is heading towards ₹570 Cr range gross worldwide in its first week, beating the previous record by around ₹100 Cr.

Leo’s Record Falls

Vijay’s Leo held the record for Kollywood’s biggest first week, with around ₹465 Cr+ gross worldwide. Jailer 2 has gone past that by a huge ₹100 Cr margin.

Biggest First Weeks in Kollywood

  • Jailer 2: ₹570 Cr (estimate)
  • Leo: ₹465 Cr+

Jailer 2 First Week Estimates (Gross)

  • Tamil Nadu: ₹140 Cr+
  • Telugu States: ₹70 Cr+
  • Karnataka: ₹60 Cr+
  • Kerala: ₹60 Cr
  • Hindi (India): ₹30 Cr+
  • India: ₹365 Cr+
  • Overseas: Around ₹205 Cr
  • Worldwide: ₹570 Cr

Tamil Nadu Crosses ₹140 Cr

Tamil Nadu has delivered a massive ₹140 Cr+ in just seven days, the biggest first week ever for any film in the state. The Dasara holidays kept theatres packed right through the week.

The South Joins In

The film has done huge numbers beyond Tamil Nadu too. The Telugu states have crossed ₹70 Cr, while Karnataka and Kerala are at around ₹60 Cr each. These are record-level numbers for a Tamil film in each of these markets.

Hindi Crosses ₹30 Cr

Jailer 2 has also done well in the Hindi version, with more than ₹30 Cr gross in India, despite skipping the national multiplex chains. That’s a strong result for a Tamil film in the Hindi market.

Overseas: ₹205 Cr in a Week

Overseas has been a huge strength from Day 1. Jailer 2 has collected around ₹205 Cr outside India in its first week, a pace no Tamil film has ever matched.

The Industry Hit Is Close

With ₹570 Cr+ in seven days, Jailer 2 is now within striking distance of Rajinikanth’s own 2.0, the highest-grossing Tamil film at close to ₹700 Cr. That record is set to fall in the second week, and the film is well on its way to ₹800 Cr+.

These are first-week estimates. The actual figures may be slightly different, but the overall numbers are likely to stay in the same range.
