After the disappointment of Vettaiyan, here’s some good news for Superstar Rajinikanth fans. Jailer 2 is all set to be officially announced soon on a very special date. This Nelson Dilipkumar’s action thriller sequel will be officially announced on Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12th.
The script work is completed and the cast has also been finalized. Now all we need to do is wait for the official announcement of the same in 2 weeks. The Jailer 2 team has decided to announce the project with a promo. This special promo will be shot this weekend.
The movie is one of the most anticipated Kollywood films and some very big names will be a part of the starcast. Jailer was a huge Blockbuster and a comeback film for Rajinikanth. It collected more than 620 Cr gross worldwide. Because of this stupendous success, massive expectations are set for its sequel.
Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff played prominent roles in the first part. The film follows “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer who decides to protect his family from idol smuggler Varman. The cast of Jailer is expected to return for the sequel along with a few more additions. Rajinikanth is curently busy with his Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie and Jailer 2 will go on floors once he completes his Coolie schedule.
