Jailer 2 has crossed another rare milestone. Rajinikanth’s film has gone past ₹500 Cr gross in India on its 16th day, becoming only the second Tamil film ever to enter the domestic ₹500 Cr club.
Only 2.0 Did It Before
Until now, Rajinikanth’s 2.0 was the only Tamil film to cross ₹500 Cr in India. It ended its run with around ₹520 Cr gross in the domestic market, with big support from its Hindi and Telugu versions.
Even blockbusters like Jailer and Leo couldn’t reach this mark in India.

Jailer 2 isn’t stopping here. The film is set to beat 2.0’s ₹520 Cr domestic total soon, and it’s expected to end its run in India in the ₹550 Cr range.
That would make it the biggest Tamil film ever in India as well, adding to its worldwide industry hit status.
₹770 Cr Worldwide
Worldwide, Jailer 2 has already become Kollywood’s all-time industry hit, with collections now in the ₹770 Cr range. The film is all set to cross the ₹800 Cr mark this week, another milestone no Tamil film has ever reached.
