Hanu-Man released during Sankranthi 2024 and emerged as a sensational success, collecting around ₹300 crore gross worldwide. For a medium-budget superhero film, it became the highest-grossing film in Tollywood history at the time.
With this massive success, Prasanth Varma rose as one of the top directors in the industry. More importantly, he officially launched the PVCU (Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe) beginning with Hanu-Man.
The film was produced by Prime Show Entertainment, who backed the project with strong belief and courage. That trust paid off in a big way.
From Sequel Announcement to Shocking Twist
At the success meet of Hanu-Man, the sequel titled Jai Hanuman was officially announced under the same director, positioned as his immediate next project. Producers reportedly invested a significant amount in the early stages of development.

Due to creative and business differences, Prasanth Varma shifted Jai Hanuman to Mythri Movie Makers, with Kannada star Rishab Shetty replacing Teja Sajja in the lead role.
Pooja Ceremony Planned — But Trouble Brewing?
After a long period of silence, recent buzz suggested that Jai Hanuman would officially begin with a pooja ceremony on February 22 in Hampi.
But now, strong industry talk indicates that if the film proceeds officially, Prime Show Entertainment may conduct a press meet to speak openly about the issue.
The reason is both financial and legal.
The NOC and Payment Issue
Since Prime Show had already invested a significant amount in Jai Hanuman during its initial stages, insiders say that Prasanth Varma needs to:
- Clear all pending payments to Prime Show Entertainment
- Obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the original producers
As of now, reports suggest that the payments have not been fully cleared and the NOC has not been granted.
