Connecting the dots, multiple media sources began linking her to the alleged financial irregularities and benami properties.

It is because of this family connection the Telugu actress‘s name has been pulled into the IT raids issue that is otherwise irrelevant to her. Amidst this growing speculation on social media, she finally broke silence with an official tweet on X (formerly Twitter).
Rakul Hits Back strongly
Strongly rejecting the reports, she said, “The IT search was not pertaining to me.” Stressing that she has been paying her taxes since the age of 20 and denied involvement in any illegal foreign remittance or holding benami properties. Calling the reports “false, malicious and speculative,” she urged those who published them to retract and clarify the claims. Rakul Preet Singh further stated, “It cannot come at the cost of facts. And certainly not at the cost of someone’s reputation and livelihood.”
