Is Season an Excuse, Ram?

But the question is, everyone knows November is a poor time for releases, and a month-end, Thursday release definitely hurts collections. The Andhra King Taluka's makers announced their release date while Prabhas's The Raja Saab was already scheduled for December 5th.

Andhra King Taluka, starring Ram Pothineni, was released in theaters last weekend. The film opened with unanimous positive reviews, but the collections did not match the talk. In the recent promotional event of the film, Ram said that the November release date was a reason for such a low box office performance of the film.

For a few days, Ram and Bhagyasri were in the USA as part of a promotional tour, and they are back in Hyderabad. The team conducted a Thanksgiving meet.

In the Thanksgiving meet, both producer Ravi and Hero Ram directly said that only because of the November release, the movie did not perform well at the box office, and he also mentioned that as Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 is set for a release within one week, it impacted the collections.

Is Andhra King Taluka Team Blaming the Release Date Justified?

But the question is, everyone knows November is a poor time for releases, and a month-end, Thursday release definitely hurts collections. The Andhra King Taluka’s makers announced their release date while Prabhas’s The Raja Saab was already scheduled for December 5th.

Everyone knows that if “The Raja Saab” had been postponed, “Akhanda 2” would likely have taken that slot. Therefore, the “AKT” team was aware of these conditions before the release, yet they still took the risk. Now, blaming the season is definitely not an acceptable excuse.

They chose the worst possible release date, but blaming that alone isn’t a good approach now. They should have considered all these factors before announcing the release date.
