Murari re-released on the occasion of Mahesh Babu’s birthday. The film broke many records in re-release segment and emerged as the highest grossing re-released film. Recently, Indra was planned for a re-release on Chiranjeevi’s birthday i.e., yesterday. The film evoked big response but failed to beat Murari’s record.
Indra was an Industry hit released in 2002 and also revived the career of Chiranjeevi who was suffering with set backs. The film enjoys much popularity on TV as well with many dialogues and scenes still popular. Many thought the film has all the chances of beating Murari but it didn’t happen. Indra grossed 3 crores on the opening day. This is however considered a record in senior heroes’ re-released films category. Murari collected more than 5 crores gross on the opening day which is double the gross of Indra.
We have to see which film would break this Murari record. Mass starring Nagarjuna is being planned for release on 28th August. It is expected to open with good numbers but it may not reach Murari’s range. All eyes are on Gabbar Singh re-release which is being planned on Pawan Kalyan’s Birthday. Only this film has the potential to break Murari’s record.
