Idli Kadai has been certified with a Clean ‘U’ rating, and its runtime is 2 hours, 27 minutes, and 43 seconds, making it an ideal length for its genre.
Dhanush portrays Murugan in this film, the son of Sivanesan, who has spent his life running a small idli shop in their rural neighborhood. The plot takes an interesting turn when Murugan quits his job as a chef at a prestigious hotel to take over the idli shop in his village.
Raj Kiran, Sathyaraj, Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Samuthirakani, R. Parthiban, and Shalini Pandey star in key roles in Idli Kadai. The film is directed by Dhanush, who also co-produces it alongside Aakash Baskaran under the banners of Dawn Pictures and Wunderbar Films, with music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
