Apparao, the father of iBomma Ravi, has strongly reacted to producer C. Kalyan’s recent comments suggesting an “encounter” against those involved in the iBomma piracy website issue. Responding sharply, Apparao stated that only those who face such atrocities understand the real pain. He cautioned that it was inappropriate for Kalyan to make such statements directed at his son.
Speaking to the media, Apparao said, “If a film has good content, audiences will definitely go to theatres. I once watched movies for 45 paise. But today, ticket prices have increased drastically. Who is asking filmmakers to spend crores of rupees on movies?” He added that instead of blaming others, the film industry should correct its own mistakes.
Apparao also clarified that he will provide financial support to the lawyer representing his son and assured that they will continue to fight the case purely through legal means.
It is widely known that producer C. Kalyan recently created a controversy by claiming that the Telugu film industry suffered losses of thousands of crores due to iBomma and that people like iBomma Ravi should be encountered. In the wake of these remarks, Ravi’s father Apparao has now issued this strong response.
