The sensational blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1, directed and led by Rishab Shetty, is now set to reach global audiences with its English version releasing in cinemas worldwide on October 31, 2025.
After earning over ₹750 crore gross worldwide in just 20 days, the makers are now aiming to connect with Hollywood and international viewers. The film’s production house, Hombale Films officially announced Kantara Chapter 1’s English version’s release on social media.
Can Kantara Chapter 1 Impress Global Audiences?
The English release will feature an updated runtime of 134 minutes, slightly trimmed to suit global viewing preferences. The film blends spiritual themes with action and emotion and has already captivated audiences across India in multiple languages, including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Kantara Chapter 1 serves as a prequel to the original Kantara and explores deeper layers of folklore, tradition, and divine belief. It will be interesting to see how the film will be received by international viewers.
