It has been raining heavily in Greater Hyderabad since this morning. The residents of the city have been struggling with the incessant rain for the past two days. Coincidentally, these rains have an effect on the Telugu film industry too. The highest rainfall of 7.33 cm was recorded in Hydernagar since this morning, followed by Miyapur (7.2 cm), Balaji Nagar (6.4 cm), Anand Bagh (6.33 cm) and Gajula Ramaram (6.2 cm). Jeedimetla recorded 6.1 cm rainfall, Kapra 5.7 cm and West Maredpally 5.63 cm, as per the official reports.
According to the health department, the state has received more than 7 cm of rainfall in just nine hours today, as compared to 3 to 4 cm in the last two days. More amount of rain is likely to continue in the coming days until the month’s end.
The heavy rains in Hyderabad City have not only created problems for the common public, but they are also causing the issues in the shooting schedules of the movies. Several movies’ shooting schedules have postponed due to the heavy rainfall and for a few movies this is effecting awfully.
Because those films’ units are already working on tight schedules as the release date is getting closer. If the rains continue for some more days with the same intensity, then a few movies may even postpone their release as well owing to the delay.
