Harish Shankar is a notable filmmaker in Telugu cinema, delivering multiple commercially successful films. Chota K. Naidu, on the other hand, is an acclaimed cinematographer who has worked on a string of high-profile films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. This director-cameraman duo has worked together for Ramayya Vasthavayya (2013).
Bankrolled by ace producer ‘Dil’ Raju, the film was a colossal disaster at the box office. This is now relevant because the film’s cinematographer, Naidu, has made some controversial remarks about the director regarding his working style and behaviour on set. The interview soon went viral on the internet.
Clearing the air, Harish Shankar has finally responded to these comments via Twitter. While he began by showing respect towards a senior fellow technician, he went on to slam him for the remarks he made. Labelling them ‘deliberate’ and ‘unnecessary’, he requested Naidu not prolong this issue anymore.
