Right from the day of its first look reveal, Prashanth Varma’s Hanuman has managed to grab everyone’s attention and the curiosity has been peaking ever since. The movie will be released for the Sankranthi season and will compete with the likes of Guntur Kaaram, Saindhav, and Naa Sami Ranga.
The movie is said to be made on a budget of 55Cr. If we include publicity and other things the cost incurred for the film will be around Rs60C. Normally it is a huge amount considering it’s directed by a relatively young and new director and has a young hero like Teja Sajja. But they have surpassed several expectations with the teaser itself which has helped the producer recover massive amounts.
The non-theatrical business rights are bought by Zee Group and the rights are said to be in the range of Rs 30Cr. Here itself the makers recovered half of the budget. In Telugu states, the film was sold at more than 20Cr. Rs 50Cr budget in total has been recovered from non-theatrical and Telugu states. The film is also being released overseas, in Hindi and Rest of India through their own distributors.
Hanuman is expected to do good numbers in these regions. Overseas, the bookings have started on a strong note, and in Hindi, the movie is expected to have massive numbers as well. The producer will be safe mostly with overseas and the Rest of South India numbers. The Hindi numbers are going to be added profits to them. With the film also getting dubbed in international languages there’s another added advantage for team Hanuman.
HANU-MAN will be released worldwide in several Indian languages including Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese on January 12, 2024.
