Pawan Kalyan’s OG is entering its last leg of the theatrical run, but the film is most likely to miss the 300 Cr gross point, just like Teja Sajja’s HanuMan.
Released on Sankranti 2024, Teja Sajja and Prasanth Varma’s HanuMan, the sensational blockbuster, collected 294 Cr gross in its full run, and it came very close to the 300 Cr mark but missed the milestone.
Now Pawan Kalyan’s OG is running in its 3rd weekend at the box office, and the film’s worldwide gross is around 285 Cr. Even though next weekend has the advantage of Diwali, there are many films set to release on the weekend.
Dude, K-Ramp, Mitra Mandali, and Telusu Kada are releasing for Diwali, and Kantara Chapter 1 is already running with better occupancies than Sujeeth’s film.
So, collecting 15 Cr from here might be a very tough task for OG, and it is most likely to end up like Hanuman with around 295 Cr closing. If Diwali releases fail to impress audiences, then there is an outside chance for the film to achieve the 300 Cr, but it’s a hard task.
