Hanuman director Prasanth Varma’s Review of Adipurush

Ever since the release of Prasanth Varma’s Hanuman, Om Raut has faced heavy criticism for Adipurush. The VFX, detailing, and characterizations in Adipurush were massively criticized and many termed it as a missed opportunity to showcase Ramayana in its truest sense.

Prasanth Varma on the other hand achieved great appreciation and widespread love for the very things Om Raut was criticised for. Despite Hanuman being a film of way smaller budget than Adipurush, its presentation and scale were impressively beyond expectations and this vision of the young director Prasanth made the film such a blockbuster.

In the latest interaction Prasanth Varma received a question about whether Adipurush’s bad result impacted Hanuman’s film and writing. The director responded saying that Adipurush did not at all impact his film.

“I did not get influenced by that result. As a film, I liked a few scenes in Adipurush and I felt woah, that was greatly designed and I can not make it like that but a few scenes hurt me and I thought why they made it like this? I could have done it a better way. So I have mixed opinions about the film,” he said
