While there are almost five films from the Telugu film industry, three films from the Tamil industry are also getting released for the festival. Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Teja Sajja’s Hanuman have already announced their release on 12th January. Hanuman’s team hesitated to postpone the release as they had committed to the agreements with the 12th of January date in all languages.
From Tamil Merry Christmas [Vijay Sethupathi – Katrina Kaif’s film], the release has already been announced for 12th January. Dhanush’s Captain Miller is the latest film to join the date as they have officially announced 12th January as the release date. Siva Karthikeyan’s Ayalaan release date has not been officially announced yet, but the reports suggest they are planning to come on 12th January only.

All three Tamil dubbed films are getting released in Telugu also, and they are planning a simultaneous release, but they will not be able to get many screens and shows as Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram will take maximum screens, followed by Hanuman in the second place.
