SJ Suryah is an director turned actor from Kollywood. However, his popularity is not just limited to Kollywood since he directed few Telugu films and enjoys fame here as well. He rose to fame with many critically acclaimed performances in the most of the films he acted. So much so that he gained an on par praise with the lead actor in every film. But SJ Suryah experienced a first disappointment with the recently released Raayan.
As said, SJ Suryah gained appreciation for his performance in almost every film he did. But this didn’t happen with Raayan. No one appreciated or recognised his performance in the film. All the fame went to Dhanush and A.R. Rahman. Interestingly, Sundeep Kishan who played a role in the film too witnessed great praise. But SJ Suryah was not considered by anyone. Even after Raayan’s OTT release, SJ Suryah or his role was not at all talked about on social media platforms.
This may happen because of SJ Suryah’s monotonous antagonist roles as well. But it can be seen that his role had no importance in Raayan mostly. We have to see how he comes back with his future films. His current film, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram co-starring Nani released today. Let’s see if it provides him any relief.
