The third instalment in the Drishyam franchise, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, hit the big screens yesterday. Starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu, the Bollywood thriller has reportedly received highly positive reviews upon release and opened strongly at the box office. With the Gandhi Jayanti weekend ahead, the film is expected to witness further growth over the coming days and mint more than ₹500 crore in the final run.
Drushyam Series Deserves A Conclusion: Fans
Impressed by the latest instalment, Telugu cinephiles on X are now demanding that Venkatesh, affectionately known as ‘Venky Mama’, bring the film to Telugu audiences through an official remake. Venkatesh has a strong association with the franchise, having headlined the first two Telugu instalments. Suresh Productions, which backed those films, could potentially take note of the growing demand if the buzz around the latest Hindi instalment continues.
An Original Story of Abhishek Pathak
While the first two films, Drishyam and Drishyam 2, were official remakes of Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam films, Drishyam: The Conclusion features an original story written and directed by Abhishek Pathak. Unlike Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3, which received a mixed response from critics, the Ajay Devgn-led conclusion has been generating positive reactions from audiences. It remains to be seen whether the makers will consider bringing this new chapter to Telugu screens with Venkatesh once again in the lead.
