Mohanlal’s Empuraan, the biggest budget film from Mollywood, was announced for a 27th March release. Normally, at this time, the team should have spent all the time on promotions, but they are struck with hurdles. But it seems like the problems are over for the film, as one producer exits, and another steps in for Empuraan.
The non-theatrical business of the film is still in negotiations, and at this time, there have been some differences between producers Lyca and Aashirwad Cinemas. The release itself is in trouble, as Lyca demanded the invested money with interest due to terms issues.

The Aashirwad Cinemas also cannot give that money, as the production house has already put a big budget on the film, and it also suffered from failures in recent times. To clear the issues, Aashirwad Cinemas started discussions with other producers/distributors to settle the amount with Lyca Productions.

Reportedly, the big house Gokulam movies are said to be involved in the matter and settling the issue. As one producer exits and another steps in for Mohanlal’s Empuraan, now all issues are said to be sorted, and the movie is on track to be released on 27th March.
So, the most hyped film of Malayalam cinema, L2: Empuraan, will arrive in theaters as per the plan without any postponements, and the updates will also start this evening.
