Mohan Lal did the unthinkable, as Thudarum joined the 10M club and became the 2nd Malayalam film to do so. Mohanlal achieves a record-breaking feat at 65, with back-to-back 10M USD milestones. In India, Thudarum has crossed the 100 Cr gross mark, which takes the total worldwide gross close to the 190 Cr mark. The film is all set to join the 200 Cr club and become Kerala's biggest grosser by this weekend. This will be the 3rd 200 Cr grosser for Mollywood after Manjummel Boys and Empuraan.

Mohanlal’s Empuraan became a winner at the box office, but it also had its share of difficulties. Being a sequel, the film gathered immense hype among Malayalam audiences, and it did not receive much positive talk upon its theatrical release. Empuraan became an industry hit despite controversy.
