Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati have teamed up for the film Kaantha, in which they not only act together but also serve as producers. During the film’s trailer launch event, Rana had high praise for Dulquer.
Speaking at the event, Dulquer shared that both he and Rana jointly produced Kaantha. He said, “Usually, people think a producer only looks after the budget, collections, and profits. But for us, it was about creating an experience and a visual spectacle. We worked very hard to deliver a film of great quality.”
Dulquer also mentioned that Tamil was his third language in school, which helped him speak it fluently. “Even Malayalam directors often tell me that I speak Tamil more fluently than Malayalam,” he added with a smile.
Rana, on the other hand, showered Dulquer with praise, saying, “Nadippu Chakravarthy Dulquer Salmaan, you’ll hear this chant all over Tamil Nadu after Kaantha releases. If someone writes a period film in India, they’ll think of Dulquer first. Only if his dates aren’t available will they approach others. I became a fan of DQ after watching this film.”
Both Dulquer and Rana expressed strong confidence in Kaantha, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime project. They revealed that the film was made only in Tamil and Telugu, as they are more familiar with the studio culture in these industries.
The duo believes Kaantha will be a special film in their careers, and fans are eagerly waiting to see if their confidence pays off.
