Till now, the film has collected more than 140 Cr gross at the worldwide box office. Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi collected between 140 and 145 Cr worldwide. So, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon surpasses Vidaamuyarchi and emerges as the biggest grosser of Kollywood this year.

A 35 Cr budget film joining the 150 Cr club and becoming the No. 1 grosser of this year, beating the Ajith film, is a stupendous achievement. In Telugu states also, the film collected more than 20 Cr gross. The rights were valued at just a 2 Cr advance, which makes it a sensational blockbuster in Telugu as well. In all areas, the film is a huge blockbuster. In Tamil Nadu, the film has collected more than 75 Cr gross, and Vidaamuyarchi collected around 80 Cr. So, the film will surpass Vidaamuyarchi in Tamil Nadu as well by this weekend and will emerge as this year’s biggest grosser in its homeland.
