Film Debut and Early Lead Roles
Prince Cecil made his film debut with Teja’s Neeku Naaku Dash Dash in 2012, playing the lead role of Siva. He followed it up with Bus Stop, directed by Maruthi, where he played Seenu opposite Sri Divya. The film emerged as a commercial success and remains the biggest success among his early lead-hero outings. Prince subsequently headlined films including Romance, Bunny n Cherry and Manasunu Maaya Seyake, while also appearing in Nenu Sailaja and Mister.
Breakthrough with DJ Tillu Franchise
While Prince’s journey as a lead hero didn’t progress as expected, his career took a significant turn with the DJ Tillu franchise. He played Shannon Gonzalez in both DJ Tillu (2022) and Tillu Square (2024), appearing alongside lead actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda. Both films became major commercial successes, with the first film collecting ₹30.30 crore worldwide and establishing itself as a blockbuster. The sequel Tillu Square emerged as an even bigger hit, marking the 2nd highest Telugu opener of 2024. Following the success of the DJ Tillu franchise, Prince has appeared in several films in supporting and character roles. Prince has now begun a new chapter in his personal life after marrying Sai Pratima in Wanaka, New Zealand. The couple tied the knot on August 24 in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family. Prince and Sai first met at a friend’s wedding in September 2025 and later got engaged in Hyderabad in June 2026. Sai, who is based in New Zealand, works in marketing and digital engagement. Prince had earlier described their relationship as a “love and arranged marriage,” with the couple also planning a reception in Hyderabad for friends and well-wishers from the film industry.
