There were a lot of expectations for Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. However, the film failed to meet expectations and is heading towards a big failure. Thug Life had a disastrous first weekend at the box office.
The film managed to collect just around 72 Cr gross worldwide. Tamil Nadu’s total for four days is just around 33 Cr, and the action drama also saw a disastrous weekend in all the other areas.

The film’s breakeven value is at 300 Cr gross, and on the 1st weekend, the recovery is just 25%. So, it is a theatrical disaster, and the weekend collection is just half of Indian 2’s 1st weekend, which proves that it is a double disaster compared to the former.
Because of the Nayakan Combo, the film raised a good amount of curiosity among audiences and the trade as well. However, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life had a disastrous first weekend at the box office.
The film may not see at least low-level or reasonable numbers from today, and most likely it will end around 90 Cr.
