Disappointing Start: Naga Chaitanya’s Custody Film Sees Weak Advance Bookings

Naga Chaitanya’s latest film Custody is prepared for a big release at the theaters on this Friday. Expectations are quite high for this film, as the movie’s team was able to generate the buzz around the movie thanks to an excellent trailer and aggressive promotions. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual cop action drama is directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Meanwhile, the film’s advance bookings have opened in all territories and the bookings are weak in all territories. The audio did not click and the film being not a regular commercial film is the reason for these low bookings but as said above, because of the trailer, the film has created good buzz and now the movie just needs a positive word of mouth which can help the film get success at the box office.

Even the recent blockbuster, Sai Dharam Tej’s Virupaksha was also started with weak advance bookings, but after the movie released it was opened with Positive talk, and it produced sensational numbers at the box office. So, Custody can also repeat the same magic if it gets an encouraging talk.

Custody, is set to be released in theaters on May 12 and marks the first-ever collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu. The film also stars Arvind Swami, Sarath Kumar, Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Sampath Raj in crucial roles. It will also be dubbed and released in Hindi along with Telugu and Tamil.

The film will have its music and score composed by Illayaraja and Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the cinematography is being handled by SR Kathir. Let’s hope that Naga Chaitanya’s Custody will be able to live up to the expectations of the theater owners and brings the much-needed relief for them.
