Shankar Shanmugham, who is the most celebrated director of Indian Cinema, has seen continuous setbacks in recent years. The director is still determined to come back and is all set to start his dream project.
The main issue for Shankar’s downfall is overspending, which causes a big burden for producers. Films like 2 Point O, Indian 2, and Game Changer ended up as heavy loss ventures for producers because of budget reasons only.
Last year, Shankar announced that he had completed all the work for his dream project, Velpari, which will be made as a three-part film. But after his recent results, everyone thought there was no chance of this film getting materialized.
But now the news is that Shankar is going with this project as his next. He is completely focusing on this film and planning to start shooting from June 2026. Reportedly, talks are happening with Tamil Big actors.
Director Shankar is waiting to make a massive comeback after back-to-back setbacks with his dream project, Velpari. It needs to be seen who will bankroll this project and who will be the lead hero.
