Dil Raju and his upcoming film Varisu are in news because of the controversy around many things. In the latest interview Dil Raju revealed that Mahesh Babu was the first choice for Varisu, later Ram Charan was considered, but both the heroes didn’t do the film.
After that, the film went to the Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Mahesh Babu acted under the direction of Vamsy Paidipally for Maharshi. Though the film became a superhit and received a national award Mahesh fans didn’t like the film as they felt it was a rehash of other hit films of Mahesh.
Varisu has almost completed its shooting and already two songs from the film have been released which were good hits.
However, these positive points are not in the discussions of the movie-goers, as the Controversies regarding the theaters allocation of Varisu in Telugu States had taken too many turns. We know that Varisu is being released in Telugu as Varasudu.
Dil Raju with a string of successes became one of the top producer and a distributor in Telugu Film Industry. But over the past six months, he has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. His strange and contradicting statements are the reason for criticism of him.
Dil Raju is receiving harsh trolling in social media too for the same reasons. A few years back, Dil Raju said that Telugu films that have not been dubbed should be given theaters for the festival seasons on a priority basis.
But cut to the present, he himself is dubbing Tamil film Varisu as Varasudu in Telugu. Not only that, he’s making sure that best quality and quantity of theaters are allocated for his film. Because it is his own film, it’s natural that he will give priority to Varisu.
However, the problem is Dil Raju’s priority is coming to the cost of other films which are Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy.
Dil Raju in the recent past participated in the Producer’s Strike, which was a major failure. Dil Raju’s actions during the strike have caused stress for all of Telugu cinema’s prominent actors and film units, which resulted in a postponement of many films.
