Did Sree Leela Indirectly Criticize Telugu Directors?

Notably, in Bhagavanth Kesari, she played a strong character and delivered a good performance. Still, Sree Leela's comments suggest that she considers Parasakthi as the first film where she received full-fledged appreciation for her acting.

Sree Leela made a blockbuster debut with Pelli SandaD and rose to fame with Dhamaka. The actress recently made her Tamil debut with Sivakarthikeyan’s Parasakthi, and the comments of Sree Leela during the film’s success meet looked liked indirectly targeted at Telugu directors.

After two back to back successes, Sreeleela quickly became a popular actress and started receiving continuous offers, including roles in big films, and in total, she did more than 10 Telugu films.

Sree Leela expresses happiness with the positive response to her performance in Parasakthi

She recently made her Kollywood debut with Parasakthi, which is currently running in theatres. Speaking at the Parasakthi success meet, Sree Leela shared her happiness and said, “So far, I have received appreciation mainly for my songs and dance performances. For the first time, I am being appreciated for a complete role. Everyone who watched the film came out of the theatre with tears in their eyes. This feels like a perfect debut for me.”

Her statement appears to be an indirect remark toward Telugu filmmakers, as her roles there were often limited to songs and dance sequences. But this cannot be blamed entirely on the directors, as choosing such roles was also her decision.
