Dhurandhar continues to rewrite the history of Hindi cinema. The film already became the first 1000 Cr grosser of 2025 in Indian cinema and emerged as the No.1 Hindi film by crossing Jawan and Pushpa 2 (1050 Cr) on New Year’s Day.
Today, the film enters the ₹1100 Cr milestone, becoming the first-ever film to achieve this feat in Hindi markets. The film is having a super strong trend this weekend too, and Dhurandhar is expected to do another 100Cr+ in from here and emerge as a monumental blockbuster in Hindi Cinema’s history.
The second installment of the film is set to be released on March 19. Although fictional, the film draws inspiration from real-life events in Indian history, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack.
