For a few months, there has been a buzz that the Dhurandhar sequel has been postponed from March 19th to avoid a clash with Yash’s Toxic, which is also scheduled to be released on the same date. But director Aditya Dhar has confirmed that Dhurandhar 2 will not have any change in its release date.
Even after 7 weeks from its release, Dhurandhar is still getting considerable collections at the box office, and fans are sharing their love on social media, such as Instagram and X (Twitter).
A fan wrote on Insta, “I think it is more than a week since I went to watch Dhurandhar for a second time in the theatre, and honestly, I am still obsessed with it, and I still feel like watching it again and again… You are truly a GOAT director, can’t wait for Dhurandhar 2! India is blessed to have a director like you!” Aditya reposted it on his Instagram Stories and wrote in the caption, “So sweet! Thanks! See you in cinemas on 19th March!”
So, it is confirmed by the post of Adiya Dhar that Dhurandhar 2 will not be postponed and will arrive on the said date.
Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic Set for a Big Box Office Clash
Made as a spy action thriller, the Aditya Dhar directorial is inspired by real-life geopolitical events such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The sequel will show Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza/Jaskirat’s backstory. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Rakesh Bedi, among others.
Toxic is a period gangster drama with Rukmini Vasanth, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, and Yash as the lead. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, it marks Yash’s return after KGF: Chapter 2.
