Court Approves Dhruva Natchathiram Release, Gautham Menon Reacts

Gautham Menon gets emotional as the court permits the release of Dhruva Natchathiram.

After years of delays and legal hurdles, the road is finally clear for Chiyaan Vikram and Gautham Vasudev Menon‘s long-awaited spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram. The Madras High Court has now permitted the makers to release the film on or before June 15, bringing major relief to the team and excitement among Vikram fans.

Gautham Menon’s Emotional Response to Court Victory

Reacting emotionally to the court’s verdict, Gautham Menon shared a heartfelt note on social media. The filmmaker revealed that some individuals had allegedly tried to destroy his career and stop the release of a film that was made with the hard work of more than a hundred people. He credited his legal advisor, senior advocate Abdul Hameed, for standing by him and guiding him through the difficult phase.

Menon also thanked Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy for helping clear the path for the film’s release. Calling it a “historic order,” the director said the judgment would become a guiding example for films that get stuck in financial and legal complications in the industry. He added that he finally sees “light at the end of the tunnel” and hopes this marks the beginning of a new journey toward greater heights.

The Long Road to Release

Dhruva Natchathiram, a stylish spy thriller, was originally planned for release back in 2017, but repeated financial troubles kept pushing the project indefinitely. In 2023, Gautham Menon landed in legal trouble after a complaint was filed by All In Pictures.

The production house claimed that the director had taken an advance of Rs. 2.40 crore for a film with Silambarasan TR but failed to complete the project or return the money. They requested the court to stop the release of Dhruva Natchathiram until the dues were cleared.

Court’s Conditional Release Permission

After hearing the case, the court allowed the release of the film before or on June 15 with certain conditions. The court directed the makers to open a dedicated bank account under the name “Kondaaduvom Entertainment,” through which all financial transactions related to the film must take place. A legal representative will oversee the process.

The court also stated that if the film cannot be released before June 15 despite all efforts, the makers can approach the court again seeking additional time.

What to Expect from the Spy Thriller

Meanwhile, fans are thrilled that the decade-long wait for Dhruva Natchathiram may finally come to an end. The spy thriller stars Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads alongside Vikram. The supporting cast includes Simran, Radhika Sarathkumar, Divyadarshini, and R. Parthiban.
