After dominating Telugu television for nearly two decades, Dhee is set for a much wider digital reach through its Dhee Netflix debut. The newly released poster announces availability in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, marking a significant multilingual expansion for the ETV franchise. The move is strategic because Netflix is increasingly looking at popular Telugu-originated content that can appeal to audiences beyond the Telugu states. Dhee joins a growing list of Telugu-originated content finding a home on Netflix. ETV Win has already taken popular titles such as 90s – A Middle Class Biopic, Little Hearts and AIR – All India Rankers to Netflix in multiple languages, giving these shows a national audience. Recent months have seen multiple Telugu releases on the platform, including Rao Bahadur in July and other regional hits. This trend aligns with Netflix's broader South Indian content strategy, which aims to release original stories across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema. For Dhee, which has remained relevant through 20 seasons and continues to command strong digital engagement, the Netflix expansion could mark the beginning of an entirely new chapter for one of Telugu television’s most enduring franchises.
