Balagam director Venu had prepared a solid subject titled “Yellamma,” which was liked by Nani, who also gave his approval to the script and officially announced it. However, due to his busy lineup with other commitments, Nani couldn’t allocate dates for the film and suggested Nithin for the project.
The film was officially announced with Nithin as the lead hero and was planned to start immediately after Thammudu’s release. But after Thammudu gave a big shock to Dil Raju, Yellamma once again got stuck in a hurdle.
Recently, there were reports in the industry that Bellamkonda Sreenivas was in talks for the project. However, the confirmed news now is that Music Director Devi Sri Prasad is all set to make his acting debut as the lead hero in Yellamma. The official announcement is expected very soon.
This news has definitely created a wave of excitement among audiences as DSP steps into the hero’s role. Dil Raju will be producing the film. After going through several casting options, Yellamma finally being locked with Devi Sri Prasad comes as a big relief for director Venu.
