Devara 1st half Review: NTR’s Blast

Finally, Devara is in front of the audience worldwide and Koratala Siva has managed to deliver on his promise. Koratala Siva builds a world with a set of villages called Erra Samudram. The ancestors of the residents of Erra Samudram protected the sea by fighting against illegal activities. But during Devara’s time, they are forced into illegal activities.

However, Devara soon realizes his mistake and urges others to change, leading to conflicts. How this situation unfolds is what the 1st half is about. Koratala Siva powerfully builds the world and writes the scenes excellently. There isn’t a single dull moment in the 1st half. NTR delivers a stellar performance, excelling in every scene. Saif Ali Khan as Bhaira is perfectly suited for the role, and the rest of the cast also performs well.

The only disappointment is that the highly anticipated songs, “Fear Song” and “Aayudha Pooja,” could have been better shot. The interval action episode is a mass feast and will give great high and satisfaction to fans.

What’s refreshing here is that the entire 1st half of Devara is dealt with only Devara’s portions. There are no other tracks like love track or comedy portions and it’s completely an action-filled 1st half. Koratala Siva has ensured that the establishment of Devara’s character and his world remains pacy.
