Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part One has taken the global box office by storm. Following excellent advance bookings in Telugu, this action drama has minted a worldwide gross of INR 151 crore on its first day of theatrical run.
As expected, over 90% of the revenue came from the Telugu version itself. While Devara registered good footfalls in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and North India, the other versions have had a modest opening. But today’s advance bookings are less promising, implying that a big first week is ahead.
Written and directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is now the 5th Telugu film to achieve this three-figure mark, only behind Rajamouli’s Bahubali. The Conclusion, RRR, and Prabhas-starrers Salaar: Part One—Ceasefire and Kalki: 2898 AD.
